Moving day is fast approaching for the family. July 16th is the day they take possession of the new place, and they'll be moving in that day as well. The movers are booked, as well as the alarm company, locksmith, water softener installers, utilities, and everything else they need. The new furniture they bought doesn't arrive until the 17th, so they'll spend one night in the new house on their old bed.
The only problem they can foresee at this point, is the city of Regina. The City has started some work on the road in front of the family's current home. Twice now they've had they're driveway rendered unusable overnight by the city. In the first case, Mandy's car was in the driveway and couldn't get out. This time, both vehicles had to be parked on the street overnight. Andrew's still waiting for a call back to find out what's going on.
Other than that, things are looking good for the move. Most of the packing is done (thanks to Mandy), and after this coming weekend, they'll be very little left unpacked. Mandy may have also located someone to do some work in the basement of the new place. The previous owners had completed most of the drywalling of the basement, and both Mandy and Andrew would like to get it to a finished state rather quickly. Having been through this before, they've been trying to find someone to do the mudding and sanding, the one part neither of them really enjoyed doing. They do have someone interested in doing the work who will come and take a look at it shortly after they get moved in.
